Avast Secure Browser/Avast SafeZone Browser: Features The Avast SafeZone browser is quite similar to its successor in terms of functionality and usability, so there is nothing much to discuss here. ![]() One of the biggest advantages of this software is that it is available to you as a single application and do not need to forcefully install the Avast security program. ![]() You can download the Avast Secure browser for the following versions of the Windows OS like “10, 8.1, 8 and 7”. This browser can secure threats and along with that gives privacy to the user, surf the internet at great speed, etc. The Avast Secure browser is a free web browser that is based on Chromium. What is Avast Safe Zone Browser/Avast Secure Browser? But, here you will get the information about both the browser from Avast. However, the SafeZone browser has been replaced by the Avast Secure Browser. Thus, to secure your internet surfing without any type of issues the security company Avast has launched the ‘SafeZone/Secure’ browser. Will keep Secure Browser installed for now just in case someone knows how to get my bookmarks back coz I live in hope that I may have overlooked something and they are somewhere, waiting to be recovered. As we know there are multiple amounts of web browsers present in the market, but, surfing the internet with one of those is not flawless since you can encounter malicious code anytime. My paid-for AV Premium ends soon and will not be renewed, no matter what the deal. I have decided to end our long-term relationship. Losing several years worth of personal bookmarks is unbearable! What a bloody headache that one caused me! There's more but I don't have all night. Like Av Cleanup - which did exactly that after auto-starting without my input. Without going into details, Avast have riled me and upset my pc several times over the years with moves like sneaky higher payments with minimum notification, and half-truth auto installations. I mean, all SZ needed were a few tweaks (and the security issues fixed o) ).īut the worst part was, my bookmarks were gone! Every single link, GONE! I couldn't even import my bookmarks coz the new browser installed itself 'over' SZ, replacing it completely! A warning would have been nice!!Īvast was once good, reliable and had a great reputation. It has absolutely no character and no visuals like before. Then came Avast Secure Browser, installed without my permission - y'know, like malware does, but that's another story.Īnyhoo, I thought it would be even better than SZ. This became my main reason for using Safezone daily. I could find my way around them with relative ease. In Safezone, I had collected around 1000 bookmarks (maybe more) and all were painstakingly organised into groups and categories. But images help me visualise and remember stuff. I know this can be done in other browsers by way of extensions, but Safezone had this as standard.īut what I really, really, really liked was the Safezone homepage and bookmarks sidebar, and how it handled bookmarks. I used it constantly because of it's (alleged) security and pro's like the ability to download videos instantly and watch youtube vids without ads (oh the joy!). I actually really liked Avast's SafeZone Browser. ![]()
