It showed off the various worlds that can be explored, the many playable characters, along with snippets of the action gameplay. That changed in 2019, as it was then brought back to be developed in-house by Cygames instead.Fans got an extensive look at the game under this new direction, with a beautiful new trailer for Granblue Fantasy: Relink released in December 2021. News Granblue Fantasy: Relink Releasing Worldwide on PS5, PS4, and Steam in 2022 By Mikhail Madnani - DecemLast December at Granblue Fantasy Fes 2020, Cygames announced that the upcoming action RPG Granblue Fantasy: Relink was also coming to PS5 in addition to PS4. It was originally announced in 2017 and started out as a collaboration between Cygames and PlatinumGames, as the latter was best known for its high-quality action games like Bayonetta. Fans anticipating this new game have been through a rather rocky ride concerning its release. That was a worthy boss fight. The developer of Granblue Fantasy: Relink announces that after a long period of silence, the cooperative action-RPG will be finally getting some new information later this month. If I recall correctly I was constantly trying to outlast the period until rezzing becomes available again after using it, chipping away the health and at the same time keeping track of the ressurection timer, not allowing myself to die with only 2 party members left for like 15 minutes. I remember fighting the boss of The Last Story for like 40 minutes because I didn't know there was a QTE you could make use of to deal large amounts of damage, and the boss had 3 phases. You get the satisfaction of drafting a good strategy and also the satisfaction of executing it well under pressure. Stats-driven action RPGs are my favorite combat systems. Other than those concerns it really seems like my type of game. Boss fight seemed good, but I know too many games in which a couple people group up to just rush through a dungeon 20 times in a row without any kind of trouble because difficulty is so low that spamming your abilities gets you through the fight. While scripted sequences on their own are fine, if the game is just a chain of scripted events then that would kinda suck.Īlso hoping that the difficulty will be somewhat challenging. The 14 min gameplay seems heavily scripted, even a part of the boss battle where the witch girl pops a bubble seems somewhat scripted (if it's actually gameplay then dear god). Don't dig the character design too much, seems mostly like generic pretty boy/cute girl anime with lack of detail in the faces, but other than, looks incredibly good.
